Applewood Lease & Rental - Full Time Counter Clerk

The Retail Counter Agent serves as the primary point of contact for customers at the rental counter. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting clients with the rental process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction, and addressing any questions or concerns. This position is an on-site role, located at our Applewood Dealerships.  

You must be able to travel, as you may have to assist in any of our locations in Langley, Surrey and Richmond.

Role & Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement Service: 

• Greet customers promptly and courteously upon their arrival at the rental counter.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests efficiently, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Escalate issues to management when necessary.

Rental Agreement Management: 

• Review rental agreements with customers, ensuring they understand all terms and conditions.
• Provide accurate information about vehicle availability, rental policies, and pricing.

Transaction Processing: 

• Accurately process rental transactions, including payments and deposits, ensuring smooth financial operations.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed correctly, including insurance options and driver’s license verifications.

Fleet Maintenance and Preparedness:

• Maintain the cleanliness and detailing of the fleet to meet Applewood standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure vehicles are available and prepared for customer rentals.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with fellow associates to provide a seamless rental experience, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

Measurables

Return on Equity (ROE): This KPI measures how efficiently the company generates profits relative to the equity invested in the business. It is an essential metric for investors and business owners as it provides insight into how well the CFO uses company resources to create profits.

Working Capital: This KPI measures the company's liquidity, or its ability to meet short-term financial obligations. It helps the CFO ensure that the company has enough cash flow to cover expenses and invest in growth opportunities.

Budget Variance: This KPI measures the difference between actual and budgeted expenses. It helps the CFO identify areas where the company is overspending or underperforming and adjust accordingly.

Debt-to-Equity Ratio: This KPI measures the amount of debt that a company has relative to its equity. It helps the CFO assess the company's financial stability and risk profile.

Accounts Receivable Turnover: This KPI measures the company's effectiveness in collecting payments.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Microsoft knowledge 
• Keen attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Must be able to travel at a moment's notice to Langley, Surrey and Richmond 
• Valid Class 5 License for British Columbia

• Scheduling flexibility preferred

Compensation:

The compensation for the Retail Clerk position at the Applewood Auto Group is starting at $17.85 per hour. The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience in accounting, as well as other relevant factors. Please note that this range is provided as a general guideline and may vary depending on the qualifications and expertise of the selected candidate.
