We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for maintaining accurate financial processes to oversee our AP/AR functions. This position is an on-site role, located at our Applewood Kia Surrey Accounting head office.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Processing Invoices and Payments: Accurately inputting invoices into the accounting system and ensuring timely payment of bills.

• Managing Receivables: Tracking incoming payments and ensuring they are applied correctly to customer accounts.

• Maintaining Records: Organizing and maintaining detailed records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions.

• Vendor and Customer Communication: Communicating with vendors and customers to resolve any billing or payment issues promptly.

• Compliance and Audits: Ensuring all transactions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, and assisting with audits when necessary.

• Supporting Month-End Close: Assisting in the month-end closing process by ensuring all invoices and payments are recorded in the correct period.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• Accounting education or experience is required
• At least 1 years of experience in AP and AR roles
• Must be proficient and highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Proficient spoken and written English
• The ability to be punctual, reliable and meticulous
• The ability to be courteous and friendly with co-workers
• The ability to meet frequent deadlines
• Accounting experience in an automotive dealership is highly desired

Compensation:

The compensation range for the AP/AR Clerk position at the Applewood Auto Group is between $40,000 - $55,000 annually. The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience in accounting, as well as other relevant factors.
