What You’ll Bring

Our ideal New Car Sales Manager will live, breathe and be passionate about cars and the automotive industry. You’ll have proven success in managing and leading people within a car dealership. You’ll know the sales cycle like the back of your hand. A successful automotive sales manager should have exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and lead a team, in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, and a track record of achieving sales targets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work current loan and lease portfolios
  • Maximize OEM programs to meet and exceed targets (Fluent in all OEM bulletins and pass knowledge to sales team)
  • Manage new car inventory (ordering and selling)
  • Accountable to CSI and other measurables (connected services)
  • Ensure new car deliveries are experiences to remember
  • Work in the CRM to ensure high conversion of all new car leads
  • Aware of all competitor programs
  • Aware of our brands competitive advantages (product and price)
  • Meet all new car customers
  • Desk car deals with sales team

Measurables:

  • Driving Sales Volume: You are responsible for driving sales volume by implementing effective sales strategies that align with the dealership's goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring Customer Satisfaction: You are responsible for ensuring customers receive excellent service and support throughout the sales process. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Maximizing Gross Profit: You are responsible for maximizing gross profit margins by maintaining price integrity, achieving sales volume targets, CSI targets, and finance office assistance.
  • Developing Your Sales Team: As the Sales Manager, it is your responsibility to develop your sales team by recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating them to achieve their targets.
  • Improving Lead Conversion Rates: You are responsible for improving lead conversion rates by providing your sales team with the necessary support to convert those leads into actual sales.

What we need from you:

  • 2+ years of Automotive Management experience
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office and other applications)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

Commission Payment:

As an Independent Contractor, you will be paid a combination of a monthly commission payment guarantee of $7000 per month plus a variable commission payment plan. Provided you hit your targets, our Sales Managers can make anywhere between $100,000 to $180,000 annually.  As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for setting up your own Sole Proprietorship and registering to have a GST number. After which you are responsible for paying your yearly taxes as a Sole Proprietorship (or Corporation, if you so choose). It is generally advisable that you connect with a Tax professional to receive advice on how to handle this from the beginning of your contract with Applewood.
