Applewood Auto Group - Customer Business Development Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Customer Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and expanding our customer base, driving sales growth, and fostering long-term relationships with key clients. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in understanding and documenting client requirements, analyzing information systems processes, and proposing customized solutions to improve performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Greet incoming clients and provide a warm and professional welcome during their interactions with the dealership.
  • Ensure sales and service teams follow established protocols and maintain up-to-date Nissan University/Infiniti University certifications.
  • Performance Assessment and Reporting:
  • Regularly assess employee performance, provide feedback, and communicate results to the relevant teams and managers.
  • Monitor relevant customer satisfaction and analysis data reports, identifying areas for improvement, and inform managers of key insights.
Sales and Service Reporting:
  • Provide Sales weekly Product Advisor’s report, Hot Alerts Weekly/daily report, Service weekly operation report, Fixed Right First Time Report, Pot of Gold updates and reports, Nissan/Infiniti vehicle’s delivery report (NCAR/ICARX).
Information Systems Solution Development:
  • Engage in discussions with customers to ascertain and record their needs and specifications.
  • Evaluate the processes of information systems and offer tailored recommendations to enhance effectiveness and productivity.
  • Investigate, integrate, test, and deploy customized business solutions for information systems.
  • Serve as a connector between business units, technology teams, and support teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Perform thorough testing to guarantee the dependability, precision, and functionality of system modifications and improvements.

Process Improvement and Customer Engagement:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve sales and service processes, enhance customer engagement, and optimize dealership reputation management.
  • Lead a continuous improvement process to resolve conflicts and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Meetings and Training:
  • Arrange and lead meetings with sales and service advisors, providing guidance to improve processes, enhance customer interactions, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Alert salespeople about potential Customer Satisfaction Indexes surveys, send welcome emails to clients, and follow up on bounced back surveys.
  • Provide new employee orientation and ongoing customer satisfaction training to ensure a high level of service excellence.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelors in business administration or higher, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Customer Business Development Manager or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management software and other sales and marketing tools.
